Speaker 1:

Welcome to the Rochelle Christian podcast, formerly the Emotional Mastery podcast. I'm Rochelle, your host. I'm here to help you come back to your body, take charge of your emotions and live life on your terms. This podcast is a space for raw, real conversations about what it means to trust yourself, lean into your power and create a life that feels aligned and alive. We'll explore human design, astrology and other tools to help you understand your unique energy. More importantly, though, we're going to talk about what it means to actually live and embody these aspects. So each week, I'm going to share stories, lessons, guidance to help you navigate life's challenges and really own your magic. So if you're ready to step up, take control and show up as the most authentic version of you, let's begin. Normally, this is the part in the podcast where I would have my little self-promo of the Holistic Human Design Self-Paced Academy, but we're going to do things a little bit different today, because I'm officially launching a live round of Holistic Human Design Academy, starting April 7th. Until March 28th, I am offering 20% off the live round. So this is three months. It is eight modules, but we have integration time, we have Q&A time. I break up the first module in two weeks in the live round, and what really makes the live round unique is you. You literally bring the magic, the magic that we create together. There's support, there's accountability, 24-7 Voxer support. It is such a beautiful container and the Holistic Human Design Academy is built on the holistic embodiment blueprint. This is basically three major steps that I have combined together to create this magical program. So the first thing that we look at, the first, very first step, is our human design and astrology chart. This really creates awareness. This really gives us this languaging of pieces of ourselves that maybe we weren't so aware of. The second step is now that we have awareness. We need to emotionally regulate, because we really can't do the work from a dysregulated nervous system. And so we understand our energetics, we dive into our PHS, we understand the emotional solar plexus whether you have it defined or undefined. We really get into the nitty gritty of what that means. And then there are tools, practical tools and steps to continually regulate your nervous system, and in each and every weekly live call that we have, we are going to have some somatic nervous system practice to really ground into that energy. And then the final step in here is subconscious reprogramming, deconditioning. We're taking those old narratives and we're replacing them with something more positive. We're replacing them with where you desire to go. Now, this is like a really brief synopsis of what is in here, but truly, this is so magical, it is so beautiful. We go through human design, astrology again, energetics, emotional regulation, attachment theory, the gene keys, subconscious reprogramming. It's so good. So if you are interested in joining for this live round again, we start April 7th, but you can enter now. Cart is open. Use the code WHDASpring and that will get you 20% off. So instead of $5.55, it is currently $4.44 until March 28th. And this program is about so much more than just intellectual learning. This is really embodiment and beginning that deconditioning process. I cannot wait to see you.

Speaker 1:

Welcome to another episode of the podcast. Today. I don't really have an agenda, but what I wanted to come on is really just come and reflect and talk about sort of the current experiences I've been having Because, like I say, I know when I'm moving through something, it's not just me. I know my energy, I know my sensitivities, I know that when I'm feeling something, it's usually amplifying something around, and also, of course, we're all doing our own work in this journey, in this experience. So last weekend was the new moon in Aries and then on Sunday we had Neptune move into Aries as well. So Neptune is at zero degrees of Aries. It's a slower moving planet. If you didn't listen to the episode on Neptune I did record one two weeks ago, I believe, so I will link that below or you can go to wherever you're listening to this, to the main podcast page and you'll be able to find the Neptune episode.

Speaker 1:

But that one really just described what Neptune was, how to work with it in your chart, the significance of Neptune moving into Aries and how you can sort of understand how that might impact you. Because this is why I sort of I don't like to consume too much information from other people until I've come to my own conclusions, because you can go on Instagram and some people say this is not a big deal, some people say this is a huge deal, some people say this is even bigger than the eclipse. It's all relative and I really would argue to say that it really depends on how this is impacting your specific chart, to the significance of it for you. So if you had your sun at zero degrees of Aries, this eclipse is going to be way more impactful for you than maybe someone else. Right, this new moon eclipse in Aries made a grand trine that I did not even realize until somebody else pointed it out to me.

Speaker 1:

Sometimes we just need things reflected back to you with my own Saturn and with my own moon. So this really felt significant, and one of the things about eclipses right, is like we're bringing things to the light. We're bringing shadows to the light so that we can let go of them. Right, we can get rid of them, and so whatever sort of came up for you, if there was anything that left your life like, let it right, don't try and pull it back in it left for a reason. So, anything that really happened, there was a significance to it. Is what I'm saying. So, even though it may not have felt significant to you and maybe you glossed over it, or maybe you're trying to go back in time not go back in time, but rather like fix it or whatever. Whatever happened, let it right, just let it be, let it go, let it rest, let it fall away, let it disappear, let it leave your life. That is the significance and the importance of this.

Speaker 1:

There was actually somebody on the new moon that essentially left my life and of course, there have have been. Granted, it's not been that long. But the other day I was thinking about, I was like, oh, should I send a text? And like because I wasn't mean or anything like that. But there was just that part of me that's like, oh, I hope it wasn't taken in the way that it may have sounded, but it is what it is and I know that there was a reason for it and that's okay. And just being very aware, moving forward, of who I'm letting in and all these things that are happening, because I do feel this really big excitement within me. I feel this redirecting and rewiring my subconscious, which is something that is always a conversation on here. I'm really, really, really fascinated with manifestation, rewiring the brain. Just all this stuff is incredibly fascinating to me.

Speaker 1:

So I've been doing because, I have said it before, I quit my nine to five I'm air quoting If you can't see me. I quit my nine to five, which was really like my nine to seven, back in January and since then I've really been focusing on my business, doing so much shadow work because nothing happens overnight. Yes, I've been doing this for a few years and even still, there are still little remnants. There are still things and very real possibility that I will have to get something, at least part time, to supplement in the meantime. And that's OK. And a while ago I would have automatically gone to that. Well, you're not worthy, the offers you have are, or whatever you know, low self-worth narrative I would have held, and I've noticed those coming up a lot, actually, not that I'm believing them, that I'm able to rewrite them, and sometimes it's just noticing what would have been the narrative before and doing the work and so noticing again, noticing when these are coming up, noticing even just coming into my body.

Speaker 1:

I have made a practice of sitting with myself in the morning before I pick up my phone. So generally it's about an hour. It's not always an hour, sometimes it's a little bit less, sometimes it's a little more, like this morning I don't think I grabbed my phone till like 8.15 and I get up about 6, 6.15. So some days it's longer than others. But really the point is, even if it's five minutes of stillness, of being with yourself, of honoring your flow, of whatever you believe, whether it's God, source creator, universe, spirit, whatever terminology you want to use, I believe it's all the same.

Speaker 1:

But calling that in to really start your day is so helpful because once you've sort of pulled that in, it just gives you a little bit more intention throughout your day, it gives you a little bit more patience, it gives you a little bit more flexibility, it gives you a little bit more gentleness, I guess, softness, maybe, and just the ability to maybe not immediately respond or sorry, react to things right and be able to rather respond. Everybody has their own I'm not sure what word I'm looking for Everybody has their own version, I guess version of it. So, whatever that looks like for you, I highly recommend again, even if it's five minutes of just your alarm went off, or maybe you don't need an alarm, which amazing my tip my hat to you because my snooze goes off multiple times before I get out of bed. But even if it's just, you know your alarm goes off or not and you sit there and you just spend three minutes just visualizing your day, visualizing your dreams, your goals, your vacation that you're going to take this summer, something uplifting, something inspiring, because really that time of day, along with at night, but that holds so much magic and so much potential and so much power for you to really do the work. So what I've been doing as far as shadow work lately has been really, first of all, always, always, always, awareness.

Speaker 1:

Right, I love journaling because if you feel something in your body, I think the first, very first step is noticing in your body. Right, I have resistance to something. What does this feel like? Where do I feel it? What you know? What does it have a shape instead of a color, like kind of talking to it, almost it. What you know? What does it have a shape instead of a color, like kind of talking to it almost.

Speaker 1:

Sometimes I'll wake up in the morning. I've had a dream and I'm journaling and I just feel this, like it's always to me. I feel it like on my chest and I feel this stickiness, this frustration, this right, and so I'm kind of just sit with it and I'm like, ok, I see you, I see you and I feel you. What is this message? Sometimes I don't know what the message is. Sometimes, you know, I'm emotional authority, sometimes I just wake up in the low of a wave and that's fine, but I think like recognizing it and being with it and not just like shoving it away or moving on or glossing over to ignoring it right, which is like Neptune and Pisces was.

Speaker 1:

So this like disconnect through these, you know, escapist things, and that was just the first thing that came to my mind was like neptune and ari, not neptune and pisces, because like neptune and aquarius, I feel like was more like technology, like aquarius is technological based, but pisces is that escapist escape, escapist tendencies and with the combination of pluto and aquarius and all the things. But I lost my train of thought. Being aware, being in your body, yeah, cause I think it's so easy to be onto the next thing, like we don't, we aren't as in touch with our body as we can be because we're just constantly distracted by the next thing and the next thing and the next thing. And so really being with it and I think that takes intention and slowing down and maybe spending a day without your phone or doing a dopamine detox, something that will bring you into your body where you can have more awareness of its cues, its hints, its signals, like what it's telling you, because our body is always, always speaking to us, but it's up to us to actually listen to it and so often we don't listen to it. And with that, like, once we've gotten awareness, then it's like this acceptance piece and human design is so beautiful for this human design and astrology. This is what it's done in my life. This is what the holistic human design academy is about, because I have made it my mission. My purpose I just feel it coming through me has always been really loud that sharing this with other people so that they can experience that acceptance and self-love. That's what it's done for me. That's what I experienced through it.

Speaker 1:

And if you're listening and you're this is coming out on Thursday, if you're listening before April 7th, we have our live round of Holistic Human Design Academy beginning April 7th. So send me a DM, click the link below. I believe our first live call, the first module, will be out April 7th, but our first live call will be, I think, april 10th, so you could probably still get until then. Send me a DM if you're interested. But the whole purpose of that is really to come into your body, to really integrate the system, to embody the system really.

Speaker 1:

For that, for acceptance, because every client that I have, every student that I have, I feel like the one theme, the one similar theme, the one consistent theme, rather, we're looking for freedom, and freedom really comes from within. Freedom comes in here I'm pointing to my head. Freedom comes in our own mind, right? I feel like I know what it feels like to be trapped in like a victim of my own mind, and it is incredibly frustrating, it is incredibly challenging. That's where we suffer, that's where we play the victim, that's where we project, and so being free of all that bullshit and really just coming into ourselves and having awareness, and so, again, like when we slow down and we can notice the symptoms, the signals that our body is giving us, we can ask those questions. We're not necessarily always going to have the answer right away, but once you start tuning into your body, then you're going to notice it in your every day. So if there's something that I'm brushing up against, that my immediate go-to is oh, I don't want to do that. Hmm, okay, there is a subconscious belief here. Why don't I want to do that? Or if somebody says something and I judge them or I get mad, or I get defensive, okay, that's interesting, there's something here to be seen. And so I really notice when those things come about.

Speaker 1:

I work very hard. I work very hard to be nonjudgmental, because I or rather, it's not that I work hard at it. I feel like I'm very quick to reframe because I think I think we're all judgmental in some way right, and I think being quick to judge is one of my kind of go-to's my old patterns, my old beliefs but I'm very quick now to replace that because I always think like I'm nobody to judge. I'm nobody to judge my life, like there have been parts of it that have been incredibly challenging and I'm nobody to judge. I'm nobody to judge my life, like there have been parts of it that have been incredibly challenging and I'm like there are parts of my life that have been an absolute shit show, like I'm no better than anyone else, no one else is better than me.

Speaker 1:

I was walking the other day and I was like would look at people and I'm like we're the same, like I'm no better than you, you're no better than me, you know I'm, you know I'm, you know whatever like hierarchy you want to, like label it to. It's like we are truly all the same and I know that's really like woo, woo off in the clouds kind of mentality, maybe, depending on what your beliefs are. But I do believe that I'm reading the course of miracles and so I'm reminded of that every morning, right, like we are all the same, we are all fragments of god experiencing itself, and the only way that we are separate is through the ego. And so, again, really noticing the things that you brush up against, that are triggering you, that you're reacting to, that you don't want to do right, and as long as you're safe which is huge nervous system regulation is everything when you're really in this work. Because, as long as you're safe, as long as you know that you're safe, the thing, the perceived threat that you have, from whether it's public speaking, whether it's from going on a date, whether it's from a phone call, right, we all have different levels of our fears, for whatever those limiting subconscious beliefs are, whatever that perceived threat is, when we know that we're safe, we can kind of call bullshit on that and proceed anyway. And so I really challenged myself to move through that.

Speaker 1:

I was doing a walking meditation this morning and it was guided and one of the things it said was visualize like a campfire and all around this campfire you have your expanders. So if you're not in the tbm world or the manifestation and you're not familiar, what an expander is, it is what it sounds like. It's somebody that has what you want, that will expand you right. And sometimes expanders we feel jealous of we. Sometimes expanders trigger us, sometimes they're in our life, sometimes they're on tv. Like an expander is anybody. It doesn't have to be somebody that you know, but the closer they are to your actual experience, the more of an expander they're going to be. So I had in my mind, my mind's eye, I had all of my expanders sitting around this fire and it was like what is the one thing that they all have and every expander that I have? Not to say that they haven't gone through it, not to say that they haven't had moments in their life where they were insecure or challenged or struggling, but every single one of them had this absolute belief and confidence in themselves and just that knowing. Kind of like let me sit up a little bit taller, right, kind of. Let me think about that. Like huh, why do I hold a fear of judgment from other people? And just getting curious about that and asking the questions and like again, like I'm no better than anyone and no one is better than me. We are all at different parts of our experience and our journeys and so doing that work and having that awareness and utilizing these times.

Speaker 1:

Last thing at night I usually listen to either a yoga nidra or a self-hyp thing. At night I usually listen to either a yoga nidra or a self-hypnosis at night as I'm falling asleep because I know you're not supposed to fall asleep during a yoga nidra but I always am of the mind that if I'm asleep but I'm hearing it, my subconscious is doing the work. So that's when I like to do that. And then in the morning I wake up, I journal my dreams, I take a minute, I read A Course in Miracles and I'm just kind of putting myself in that framework, while I'm still a little bit groggy and kind of like having my coffee, and that's like my little morning routine and I love it. And so it allows you to just be a little bit more again intentional, a little bit more aware of your day and when you come into your body.

Speaker 1:

This is one of the first things in holistic human design. The first module is understanding your chart. Astrology and human design is broken up in two weeks, but I have people print out their chart and color it in by hand. I think this is such a great experience, experiment, a great practice, exercise. So we're looking for exercise because it really allows you to get intimate with your chart. And what happens is then of course, there are aspects that you're like oh I didn't realize I had that gate here. I didn't realize this was activated consciously and not unconsciously or whatever it is. It just gives you an awareness of your chart. But also when you come into your body in that way, when you recognize the design side. So I recommend printing out three copies color in your conscious side, your personality side, color in your design side. So I recommend printing out three copies color in your conscious side your personality side, color in your design side, your unconscious side, and then color in the chart that you see. With all of it together, it'll give you an awareness of the different ways. Like, that personality side is the way that your mind perceives you to be, the unconscious side is your body and then, obviously together is what we see as your main chart. But your ego, your mind, sees a different version of self than your body experiences, and so this practice really helps you because then you can come inside my I have an emotional authority, but it's not in my body.

Speaker 1:

This is in my mind, right, but when I come together, both sides together, I have an emotional authority and so or the other example for me my sacral isn't defined. My sacral is only defined when my conscious and unconscious come together. My personality, my ego, doesn't feel, doesn't perceive a defined sacral, and my body doesn't experience a defined sacral. So the only way I have a defined sacral is when these two parts of me come kicking and screaming together and give me a defined sacral and so, understanding that that I'm actually pretty disconnected from my sacral energy. I know that when I go to the gym, I know that when I move my body, I know that when I get in bed at night and I am exhausted in the most beautiful way, that is my sacral, but I'm not connected with it either way on a moment-to-moment basis, if that makes sense. Yes, it is part of who I am. I have a defined sacral.

Speaker 1:

I am a manifesting generator, no question about it, and I know that in hindsight. But in my day to day, in my moment to moment, there are some days that I just want to sit on the couch. I'm a Taurus sun, I have a Taurus stellium. I just want to sit on the couch and do nothing and my generator kids are like, what are we doing today? Where are we going? Are we going to the park? And I'm like, oh, like, we go most of the time, I'll say like 80% of the time but like, sometimes I'm like I'm tired, like I've been on my feet all week, like I just want to relax, like I'm in bed, I sleep pretty early.

Speaker 1:

So all that to say that coming into your body through awareness, I believe, right, this is the way that we can be most connected with ourself and the way that we can practice being connected with our body and what our body is telling us. And so, coming in and exploring that authority that you have inside, exploring your strategy, what does it feel like? Exploring your energy type, right? So, the more that you come into your body, the more that you give yourself that pause, that moment, even if it's five seconds, that moment of pause when your body has a reaction to something small or big, excitement, high vibe or low vibe just pause. Like I notice, when I'm on the high of my wave, sometimes I am buzzing, like I have so much energy I don't know what to do with it. I'm like, ah, like these are the times when I have to run, cause it's just like it's almost like my little body can't hold it in, it's just like it needs to go somewhere. And then but of course there's always equal and opposite as high as I can get, sometimes I can also get equally as low, and those are really challenging moments.

Speaker 1:

And so, having that awareness that this too shall pass, I know that I'm emotional authority, so sometimes it doesn't always make sense, sometimes it's triggered by something outside of me, and sometimes I just wake up and I'm like, fuck, I don't want to do today. I just want to lay in bed and be and having that awareness and moving through every moment, and just like connecting with my body, and be like I got you, I got you Coming inside, seeing my three-year-old little inner child, and be like what do you need? Like, what do we need today? Sometimes I just want to sit on the couch and sorry, kids, you know, like we'll do something. We'll watch TV, I'll make some popcorn, we'll hang out, like let all get in my bed and watch a movie. Like sometimes those are the answers. So those are the days, right.

Speaker 1:

But without an awareness of your body, you'll gloss over these things, you'll push yourself beyond what your body wants you to do, like my daughter. She has been sleeping in later and not like having the time to do her makeup before school and she's like I just she was like I just don't know why, like maybe you just need to sleep, maybe you just need to sleep, maybe there's nothing wrong with you, maybe you're just tired. Let yourself be tired, let yourself sleep for the extra 45 minutes, because she'll get up at five o'clock in the morning on a school day when the rest of the house gets up at 6, 6, 6, 15. And my son gets up at 6, 4545, the minute before we have to get in the car. So it's like sometimes just let yourself give yourself that extra hour, give yourself the extra hour and a half. It's fine, it's fine Kids, it's fine, right. And so with that like that acceptance of the self, which is what I think naturally comes when you begin to have awareness of all the other stuff, and that's when it starts to get magical right, where it's like all the shoulds can go out the window, all the expectations, the fear of judgment, it's like not to say that those things don't come up anymore, but I'm very aware of when they do. And and the hardest part of all of this is that aligned action piece. It is taking action, it is doing something.

Speaker 1:

Lately I've been really reflecting on my life, on my business and what I need to do and what's not working and where I don't have a relationship romantic relationship right now, and so it's like, okay, there is obviously a limiting belief held in these areas that don't look the way that my higher self knows that they look, that I'm calling in, but they're not quite here yet. So then the question is, what is that subconscious belief? Just keep doing the work, but also know that it doesn't have to be that serious, but also be yourself. This is something I battle all the time, because I'm a very intense person, but I can also be silly, right, and I appreciate the most significant partners that I've had that always will stand out on my mind, have brought the lightness to my life, while also being able to go to the depths with me. That's what I appreciate. My Venus and Gemini likes the playful lightness and my moon square, pluto wants the intensity. So I need a good balance of the both of them. But when I look at Instagram and I'll look at people who have, you know, hundreds of thousands of followers, if not million and they're just like goofy and silly and and you know, if I tried to act like that, it wouldn't be me, I just wouldn't, and that's fine. And so just authenticity is what rings true. Authenticity is what people feel, and so just honoring that and leaning into it and being yourself and joining us inside the Holistic Human Design Academy to further do the work if you feel called to do it. But that's just really, really majorly what's been coming up.

Speaker 1:

It's just allowing, flowing, surrendering, doing the work and just having radical awareness and self-responsibility, which is the hardest one. One of the hardest parts is taking radical responsibility for where you're at in life, how you got here, the things you're dealing with. Gary Vaynerchuk talks about all the time. He's like I take full responsibility for everything, because it's like that's the only way to go. You can't blame other people. I mean you can, but and of course it depends what your journey is, depends what your goals are and your dreams are and your aspirations and all those things. But for me, I had to take radical responsibility and be like, okay, all right, it's not easy. Not easy. I've done a lot of things that I will never say I regret them, but that maybe I wish weren't so. Or we're different or I could behave differently now, but it's really just letting go, letting go of the resistance, letting go of the like forcing or trying to be something else. Right, it's being who you are while also doing the work.

Speaker 1:

So I hope this resonated, I hope this supports you and, where you're at, let me know on Instagram, share it on Instagram, share it with a friend, tag me, rate, review, subscribe. If you're on Spotify, it's just clicking those five stars If you like the episode, if you like the podcast in general. It really really, really helps. I'm really trying to do more marketing on the podcast. I would like to get it out further and share it more, not only for just more aligned podcasts, but I believe in this.

Speaker 1:

Obviously, I've been doing this for gosh four years now. Five years, maybe five years Wild I actually don't know how long it's been. I think it's been like five years. I, if you've made it this far, obviously you've listened clearly, but also I just I'm grateful. I'm grateful for you, whether it's the first time you're listening to it or whether you've listened to 200 episodes before, 10 or 5, whatever it is, I just I appreciate you and I'm so glad that you're here with me and I will talk to you next week with a guest interview and I cannot, off the top of my head, remember who it is, but I have so many amazing interviews coming over the next gosh I think I'm like booked out until August, september. So so many good ones coming for you. I'm so excited to share all of them. So, again, I will see you next week with another episode.
